Fall Line Magazine

Born in 1990, just when skiers started thinking about freeriding, touring and freestyle. Since that seminal point in time, we’ve (fresh) tracked the changes in gear, techniques, locations through the people who have pushed skiing to the heights it is now.

As the voice of ski inspiration for three decades, Fall Line has delivered the best stories, gear reviews and information to get skiers skiing since before skis stopped being straight.

About Jonny Richards:

Jonny is Fall Line Skiing magazine’s long-serving editor-at-large. A former Editor of Channel 4 Skiing, he writes mainly about Japan and North America. He loves skiing in strange places from the Sahara to the Turkish Kackars, and has visited over 200 resorts worldwide.

About Mike Richards:

Mike is a professional ski instructor, having worked in Niseko, on Japan’s north island, since 2006. He came to the sport relatively late in life – with his first season in Ellmau, Austria at 27 years of age – and has not looked back since, racking up ski days in over 100 resorts across 21 countries and five continents. A regular contributor to Fall Line, he still loves to ski his home turf - the Brecon Beacons national park.
