Welcome to Manchester Cross-Country Ski Club (MCCSC). Your Nordic skiing community in the North West. Whether you’re passionate about Alpine skiing and would like to learn to Telemark or love the thought of roller skiing, MCCSC brings together like-minded people to share the fun and challenge of Nordic skiing—all year round.

A Club with a Manchester History

MCCSC was founded in January 1984 in Altrincham as a hub for cross-country ski enthusiasts. Now, over 40 years later, we’ve grown into a thriving, multi-discipline Nordic ski club with members from Manchester, Preston and across the North West.

What We Do

MCCSC run telemark instruction on artificial snow and coached sessions on roller skis, both skate and classic. These help members to achieve their ambition of nordic skiing in the NW of the UK with no snow.

Club holidays: When winter hits at home, we’re ready—making the most of UK snow to ski Britain’s hills whenever the opportunity arises.

Absolutely anyone! MCCSC welcomes everyone.

Beginners are encouraged to attend coached roller ski sessions.
Experienced skiers are always welcome.
People who just want to get involved, get outdoors, and be part of a friendly ski-loving community.

We’re one of the largest cross-country ski clubs—and the biggest civilian Telemark club—in England. You’ll be in good company!
